Think of surveillance systems and who monitors the cameras, are we all safe? Yes, but besides policies, procedures, and state gaming regulations you must have one other quality” JDLR” (Just doesn’t look Right). Back in the day in Las Vegas where I worked undercover for the State of Nevada Gaming Control Board, I asked myself with all the crime that goes on involving money what if? What if a surveillance operator was bought off on a certain time to move a camera just like back in my day when you had slot cheating groups and table game cheating groups that bought a slot floorman and the change people off to look the other way to set up a jackpot! What about the dealer, Boxman, and or floorman that was bought off to look the other way! All these incidents have happened and are happening today by what I call the one pert center that are bad just like in Law enforcement where I also have experience as a retired police Officer. GAMING INDUSTRY CAN ADD CYBER SECURITY AS NEW DIVISIONĬYBER SECURITY is particularly important and has been since the invention of computers, but do we get it unless it hits home? Let me start out right away and admit I AM NO CYBER EXPERT. I have seen instances first-hand of “Hackers” holding gaming entities here in the US and Offshore hostage for “Ransome.”
